"How does trauma impact systems? I’ve been working in the field of trauma since 2012 and this is the question that guides my practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Trauma is like an invasive plant, weaving its way throughout multiple parts of our lives. Untreated trauma can feel like it’s blocking all the light."

ABOUT KIMBERLY

Kimberly is the founder of Wilder Wellness. Her work has taken her to Haiti, where she volunteered with an orphanage, helping staff and adoptive parents become more trauma-informed. She has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds, including children and adults who are survivors of sexual abuse. She is certified in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and has helped families process trauma together. She is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is currently the primary treatment she utilizes in her practice today. She is also an EMDR Consultant and Facilitator as well as a Qualified Licensure Supervisor in the state of Florida. She focuses on exposing and unrooting trauma. Trauma can impact so many systems in our lives. It influences how we parent, how we relate to others, and how we process our experiences. Kimberly's goal is to help you identify trauma cycles, allowing you to see yourself and the world more accurately. This allows you to process your experiences and reach adaptive and healthy resolutions so you can move into your future with confidence as you work together to break generational cycles.
